Compatibility

What we work with, and what to do when something clashes.

What you need

Houzez 4.0 or newer. We are built for this theme specifically, and we test against the current version.

The Houzez plugins that come with the theme. Houzez Theme Functionality and Houzez Login Register both have to be active. They arrive in the same download.

WordPress 6.0 or newer.

PHP 8.0 or newer. Almost every host meets this now. If yours does not, ask them to upgrade it; it is free, it takes them minutes, and it makes your whole site faster.

An https website.

What you do not need

WooCommerce. In fact, if Houzez is set to WooCommerce mode, our plugin is bypassed entirely, so make sure it is not.

Any other payment plugin.

A page builder, a subscription plugin, or anything else.

Child themes

Fully supported, and a good idea generally.

We integrate through the hooks Houzez provides. We never write to your theme files, which means there is nothing of ours in your theme for a child theme or a theme update to disturb.

When a plugin clashes

Security plugins are the usual culprit. Wordfence and its relatives can block Mollie’s webhook, because it is an incoming request from a source they do not recognise. If your payments succeed at Mollie and nothing happens on your website, this is where to look first.

Add an exception rather than switching the security plugin off. It is doing its job; it just needs to know that Mollie is welcome.

Caching plugins can occasionally serve a stale checkout. Exclude your checkout and dashboard pages from the cache.

Other payment plugins may add their own blocks to the checkout. Ours has no quarrel with them, but your customer will be confused.

When Houzez ships a new version

Update it. We test against current Houzez, and staying current is the safest place to be.

The plugin’s System tab tells you your Houzez version and whether it is newer than the version we have verified against. If it is, and something looks wrong, tell us. That is exactly the sort of thing we want to hear about early.

If you find a conflict

Email support@documentation.quantumaddons.com and use the Compatibility subject in the support form.

Tell us which plugin, which version, and what happens. We will look at it properly. A conflict that affects you probably affects someone else, and we would rather fix it than field the same email twice.

Still stuck?

Send us a message and a real person gets back to you, usually within one business day.
