Nothing bad happens to your customers. Let us be clear about that first, because it is the thing people actually worry about.
What keeps running
Your checkout keeps working. Customers can still pay you.
Webhooks keep working. Payments still complete properly.
Emails still go out.
Transactions are still recorded, and your analytics keep filling up.
All your data is preserved.
Your business does not stop. We are not going to hold your customers hostage to make you renew, and it would be a disgraceful thing to do.
What happens instead
You get a grace period of 31 days.
During those days, everything works exactly as before, and the plugin shows you a countdown, so you know where you stand.
After the grace period, the plugin’s own admin pages lock.
That means you cannot change your settings, edit your emails, or manage your payment methods from within the plugin. Your site keeps taking money; you just cannot reconfigure it.
And you stop receiving updates. Which, for a plugin that handles payments, is the part that should actually concern you.
Getting it back
Renew, then go to the License tab and click Re-check status.
Everything unlocks. Your settings are exactly where you left them, because they were never touched.
The one exception
A license can also be revoked, rather than expired. That happens after a refund, a chargeback, or abuse.
A revoked license locks immediately, with no grace period.
That is a different situation, and if you think it has happened in error, email support@documentation.quantumaddons.com. Your data stays safe, and it comes back the moment the license is restored.
Why we do it this way
Plenty of plugins simply stop working when a license lapses, taking the customer’s business down with them.
We think that is a poor way to treat someone who paid you. If your license lapses, that is between us and you. It is not between us and the agent who was trying to buy a package on a Tuesday afternoon.
So the payments keep flowing, and what you lose is the ability to change things and the right to updates. Those are the things a license actually buys.
