Eleven steps from an installed plugin to a working, live checkout. The plugin checks them for you.
Where
Go to Mollie Payments, then the Theme activation tab.
The eleven steps
1. Enter your Mollie API keys.
2. Turn on paid submissions in Houzez. This is the master switch. Until it is set, no checkout exists at all.
3. Set Houzez to the right payment mode. Houzez Custom Gateways, not WooCommerce.
4. Enable your payment methods at Mollie. In your Mollie dashboard.
5. Choose which methods customers see. In the plugin.
6. Turn off the built-in Houzez gateways. Stripe, PayPal and Wire Transfer, so your checkout shows one payment section rather than three.
7. Stripe fields on packages are not needed for Mollie. Leave them empty.
8. Per package, choose one-time or subscription.
9. Let new customers register during checkout. Or they will see “Access denied” and leave.
10. Test a payment in TEST mode.
11. Go LIVE.
Why bother if you have read the documentation
Because a checklist catches what reading does not.
You will work through every article carefully, and you will still miss one thing, because that is how people work. The checklist takes two minutes.
Two minutes now, or a customer telling you they could not pay. That is the actual choice.
The two pages that answer everything
The Theme activation tab checks your setup against a list of instructions.
The System tab checks your setup against reality: what is actually configured, what Mollie actually reports back, what is actually wrong.
Read both before you go live. Between them, they catch almost everything we get asked about.
