Managing your links

Everything you have created lives in one list.

The overview

Go to Mollie Payments, then Payment links.

Underneath the create form is Recent payment links.

The statuses

Open. Sent, not yet paid. Waiting.

Pending. The customer has started paying but not finished.

Paid. Done. It now also appears in your Transactions and in your Analytics.

Expired. The expiry date passed and it was never paid.

Canceled. You cancelled it.

What you can do with a link

Copy the link again, if the customer says they lost it.

Get the QR code again.

Remind the customer, manually, right now, without waiting for the automatic schedule. Useful when you have just spoken to them on the phone.

Cancel a link so it can no longer be paid. Use this when a deal falls through, or when you sent the wrong amount and do not want someone paying it.

Archive a link to get it out of your way without deleting it.

Delete it, and delete several at once.

When to cancel rather than delete

Cancel stops the link working but keeps the record. This is what you want almost always, because in six months you may want to know that you sent it.

Delete removes it. Only do this for genuine mistakes, like a link you created twice by accident.

Paid links live in two places

Once a link is paid, it stops being a payment link and starts being a payment.

You will find it in Transactions, where you can refund it exactly like anything else, and in your Analytics, counted alongside your other income.

Which means payment link revenue is not a separate pot you have to remember to add up. It is simply part of what you earned.
