Updates arrive through WordPress, exactly like any other plugin. As long as your license is active, you do not have to do anything unusual.
The normal way
When a new version is available, WordPress tells you, under Plugins or Dashboard, then Updates.
Click update. That is all.
Your data is never touched
The plugin says this plainly, and it is worth repeating because people worry about it.
Data is never deleted during an update.
Your transactions, your settings, your API keys, your emails, your analytics. All of it survives. You do not need to back anything up before updating, and you never need to reconfigure anything afterwards.
The only thing that ever deletes data is fully deleting the plugin, and only then if you asked it to, under Options, then Delete data on uninstall.
When WordPress has not noticed yet
WordPress checks for updates on its own schedule, and sometimes it is slow. You may know a new version exists and see nothing offered.
That is what the Check for updates button is for.
Go to Mollie Payments, then the License tab, and click Check for updates.
It asks our server directly, right now, and tells you the truth.
What it will tell you
Five honest answers, and it does not pretend.
You are on the latest version. Nothing to do.
Update available. It names the version, and tells you to go to Plugins to install it.
Updates need an active license. Enter your license key first. Updates are part of what your license pays for.
Could not reach the update server. Try again in a few minutes. This usually means a temporary network problem or a host blocking outgoing connections.
This site is the update server itself. You will never see this one, unless you are us.
We built this button because the update system caches its answers, and a customer who needed an urgent fix could otherwise sit there for hours seeing nothing. Now you can just ask.
Should you update straight away?
Yes.
Updates carry security fixes, compatibility with new versions of Houzez and WordPress, and the corrections to problems that other people found before you did.
A plugin that handles money is not the one to leave three versions behind.
If an update goes wrong
It should not, but if it does, email support@documentation.quantumaddons.com.
Your payments keep working. Your data is intact. And we would rather hear about it than have you quietly struggle.
